Lot 81: CD 149 BROOKFIELD Color: Light Green Aqua EIN: [010] Description: This is the "BROOKFIELD" embossed "Burbrook" insulator in the less common coloration! 1/2" inner skirt chip, 1/2" base flake, otherwise about very near mint. This lighter variation will contrast very well with lot 80. The 1907 Stuart-Howland Catalogue calls this insulator the "'Burbrook' Extra Deep Groove Double Petticoat." The deep groove indicates these might have been used on insulated low or medium voltage electric lines. The origin of this name, whether person or place, is unknown.
