Lot 80: CD 149 BROOKFIELD Color: Deep Aqua EIN: [010] Description: The 1907 Stuart-Howland Catalogue calls this insulator the "'Burbrook' Extra Deep Groove Double Petticoat." These might have been used on insulated low or medium voltage electric lines. An overpour creates an unusually low pinhole, revealing nice dome glass and an inner skirt extended below the outer skirt. These Brookfield-embossed units are far rarer than the unembossed examples. 3/4" base chip, otherwise easily very near mint. Contrasts well with the lighter example in lot 81.
