Lot 32: CD 121 C.D. & P.T. CO. Color: Bright Yellow Green Description: 1/4" flake at the base of the skirt, otherwise very near mint. The Central District & Printing Telegraph Company was started in May 1874. After the invention of the telephone, the company became a licensee of the American Telephone and Telegraph Company in the Western Pennsylvania area. The "printing telegraph" allowed the transmission of messages through a keyboard without requiring a telegrapher who was trained in Morse code. A nice contrast to lot 33.
