Lot 95: CD 162 STAR [010] Color: Blue w/ Ice Chips Description: There is an unusual area on the dome where there is some impurity that isn't round or like a piece of firebrick. There are five or six distinct chunks, approximately 1/4" each in size, that appear to be "frozen" together. Quite an unusual oddity! Not to be outdone, there are also areas of a dark black impurity at the left mold line from below the lower wire ridge to above the upper wire ridge. While one may have seen some of this black impurity in other insulators, we have never seen anything like these "ice crystals" which are easily visible when backlit.
