Lot 58: CD 134 T-H.E.CO. [030]  Color: Dark Root Beer Amber  Description: Brookfield was likely the glasshouse commissioned to produce these beautiful signals sold by the Thomson-Houston Electric Company. Joe Maurath, Jr., a longtime and noted collector, has confirmed that nearly all of the amber T-HE signals were found on fire alarm circuits in the Massachusetts cities of Abington and Rockland in 1970. He estimated that about 35-40 amber T-HE signals are known in the hobby. These are hard to come by and often seem to have some amount of damage. 1/4" wire groove chip on the rear at the right mold line, 2 open bubbles on the base with 1/2" associated flaking, small dings here and there. All the significant damage is in the rear. One of the tougher and more desirable colors for a T-H.E.CO. piece!  UPDATE: This appears to have been lightly tumble cleaned. The embossing and mold lines are still well-pronounced.
Estimate: $800 - $1,000  Open: $1
