Lot 134: CD 162 N de M Color: Straw Tint Description: The embossing on this insulator isn't close to any of the existing listings in the Price Guide. We would describe it as: "(F-Skirt) N de M (R-Skirt) [Blotted out embossing] SDP." It may have a blot out on the dome but we can't say for sure. 1/8" dome ding, a base flake that affects 2 drip points, 3/4" area of chatter on the inner skirt. These insulators were produced for Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico, Mexico's railroad. There are some amber veils in the thick dome glass. An unusual embossing variant with extra character in the dome, and a nice insulator for the Mexican collector! Estimate: $50 - $75 Open: $1 Price Realized: $297 |
