Lot 127: CD 285 {Unembossed} {"Edison" style} [010]  Color: Yellow Green  Description: A stunning color for this insulator whose trade name was the "Edison". An urban legend in the hobby reports that it got its name because its bulbous dome resembles a light bulb. The smooth contours create a shape that's pleasing to the eye. These were used extensively in the Bangor - Ellsworth area of Maine, and a number of units have been discovered there over the years. Shallow 2" chip on the rear, 1" inner skirt chip on the front. Any Green example is hard to come by, and this is one of the best shades. Let it light up your collection!
