Lot 127: CD 285 {Unembossed} {"Edison" style} [010] Color: Yellow Green Description: A stunning color for this insulator whose trade name was the "Edison". An urban legend in the hobby reports that it got its name because its bulbous dome resembles a light bulb. The smooth contours create a shape that's pleasing to the eye. These were used extensively in the Bangor - Ellsworth area of Maine, and a number of units have been discovered there over the years. Shallow 2" chip on the rear, 1" inner skirt chip on the front.
