Lot 11
Price Realized: $4,510
Lot 11: CD 609 JSN {Poland} Color: Copper Peach Description: Wow! Wow! Wow! What a glowing, stunning piece! We've never seen any piece, US or worldwide, with a color close to this! The "JSN" in a circle on the dome stands for "J. STOLLE NIEMEN." An eye-catcher for sure, especially in this nice condition! [ UPDATE: #2: All the resin and clear coat have been removed. It’s 100% glass now. The sharp edge around the inside of the inner skirt is prone to damage. This has a few small flakes that span about 1/2" (seen in blue in view 3), and an area about 1/8” in size wraps over to the base of the skirt. This can be seen as the green line. View 4 shows a “straight-on” view of the base, and the 1/8” rough area on the base is at noon. Remember, this is a detailed description of the damage, and the pictures are probably larger than life-size. Note that the diameter of the inner skirt is 2 1/4". View 5 shows you what the insulator looks like when viewed in a lightbox turned directly facing the damage. This is a lot of detail to describe a simple base flake, but we felt it was important as this is an update!] Estimate: $800 - $1,200 Open: $1 Price Realized: $4,510 |
