Lot 10: CD 162.3 STAR [020] Color: Blue Description: Only two STAR insulators have wedge drip points, the CD 102 and this one. While the CD 102 is uncommon, this style is quite rare! A fracture starts at the base of the skirt in the rear and goes up to the wire groove and entirely around the insulator, ending in the upper wire ridge. Three 1" scallop bruises on the base. The drip points are pretty chipped up. Outstanding display from the front where one can hardly see any of the damage. Rarely offered for sale, this might be your only chance to acquire one!
