Lot 147: CD 259 OAKMAN MFG.CO. [010] Color: Light Aqua Description: Although this insulator is embossed "CABLE" on the front, it does have Samuel Oakman's name and a couple of his patent dates embossed on the base. The June 17, 1890 date refers to the "ears" and the August 19, 1890 date is for the ridges around inner surface of skirt. A small open bubble and associated flake on the base affect two digits in one of the patent dates, otherwise very near mint. An attractive "helmet" for your collection!
