Lot 8: CD 737 LEFFERTS [010] Color: Rich Lime Green Description: This is an attractive shade of green for this rare Lefferts "hat"! The CD 737 style is one of the early threadless insulators, perhaps dating to the late 1840's. Marshall Lefferts was a businessman who became involved in the telegraph industry through his sale of wire to telegraph companies. 1" fracture up from the base at the left mold line, a few small flakes and an open bubble on the base, a small amber annealing line below the embossing.
