Lot 150: CD 266 PATENT JUNE 17, 1890 [010] Color: Deep Aqua Description: This style was referred to as the "No 5 Boston Cable" in the 1902 C.S. Knowles Catalog. The CD 267 is referred to as the "No 4 Boston Cable" in the same catalog. The insulator is quite large, being 5 3/8" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. This example is heavily damaged. There is a large repair on the ear, and about half of the base and the petticoats are badly chipped. This insulator can fill a hole in your collection, or it might be a good "placeholder" until you manage to acquire this very rare CD in very near mint condition for $4,000 or more!
