Lot 1
Price Realized: $7,700
Lot 1: CD 790 {Unembossed} [010] Color: Dark Teal Green Description: This large "teapot" is a very unusual design which is very high on the "wish list" for collectors of threadless insulators. This example is in wonderful condition, considering the damage that most of these have incurred. 1" shallow chip on the rear, 1/2" shallow chip on the spout which may have been reglued, 1/2" open bubble near the base of the spout, some scuffing all over. The collage of photos is designed to show you every view of the insulator so you can make the best assessment of its condition. Please look at all of the large views and please call or email if you have any questions. Please note that the pictures have some degree of front lighting, which may cause some aspects of the insulator to be more pronounced than when it is in your backlit display case. If you look closely, you can see a rope of milk running from the pinhole to the tip of the spout! "Teapots" were found primarily in the south. This unit is certainly one of the better examples you can find, and the unique design adds to its desirability! Estimate: $8,000 - $10,000 Open: $1 Price Realized: $7,700 |
