Lot 196: SI 135.5 FIRST NAT'L MEET [012] Color: Straw Description: This 1970 commemorative marks the first national show, and this color was produced in a very limited quantity. The first four shows were called "National Meets" before the National Insulator Association (NIA) was founded in 1973, and the first two commemoratives were embossed on the dome but not on the base. In 1975, the embossing was modified to read "NIA CONVENTION." The dome glass intensifies the color, and the mint condition adds even more desirability. This is one of the rarest national commemoratives and is seldom offered for sale. A key piece for your commemorative collection! Estimate: $400 - $500 Open: $1 Price Realized: $132 |
