Lot 176: CD 292 PATENT JUNE 17, 1890 [020] Color: Emerald Green Description: This insulator bears Samuel Oakman's patent of June 17, 1890 for "dovetail projections" to "receive and hold wires." The patent is usually associated with the "Mickey Mouse" and "Roman Helmet" insulators but is applicable here because of the saddle groove. Some small areas of light scuffing on the dome and skirt, otherwise very near mint. The insulator was likely produced for the Boston area electrical supplies dealer C.S. Knowles Company.
