Lot 17: CD 105 AM.INSULATOR CO. [010] Color: Light Aqua Description: Stellar condition! The wire ridges are especially prone to damage, and this example only has a tiny 1/8" flake. This early pony was produced for the American Insulator Company using Samuel Oakman's collapsible plunger, which was patented on September 13, 1881. Open bubble and 1/4" base flake remove the "13" in the patent date. A few little dings here and there, but nothing significant. Overall, this clean example is worth a premium! Estimate: $350 - $450 Open: $1 Price Realized: $396 |
