Lot 5: CD 695 L'ELECTRO VERRE {France} Color: Forest Green w/ Hardware Description: The insulator itself is a very odd and unusual style! A large flange with two "eyes" projects out from the side. This style is nicknamed "The Bustle". This was a cut-out switch rated for 200 amps that could be actuated with a hot stick. Here we offer an impressive combination of glass and metal! This is the best of both worlds. You can display it with the hardware attached or sitting next to it. The insulator is in great condition and comes complete with metal hardware that has a beautiful patina. Some of the "Bustles" are a rather drab green color, but this is a nice attractive Forest Green. All the hardware is original, complete with the cushioning gaskets where the bolts go through the flange. The knife switch is fully functional. Part of the original line wire is still in the clamps. This is a rare insulator in great condition, coupled with rare hardware, making a fantastic combination. If you want some "heavy metal" with your insulator it doesn't get any better than this!
