Lot 3: CD 110.6 NATIONAL INSULATOR CO. Color: Blue Description: Nicknamed the "Large Corkscrew". The corkscrew ridges on the insulator, typically chipped, are in great condition. 1/2" chip/repair on the lower wire ridge at the mold line. Two 1/4" base flakes affect part of "CO." and the "18" in "1884". Two 1/8" open bubbles on the base. All in all, quite a nice example. This is the "variant with a smaller upper skirt diameter, thus more taper on the skirt." They were primarily found in New Hampshire. See lot 4 for another example of this uncommon shape in Green.
