Lot 179: U-1690 {Poland} Color: Bright Brick Red Description: These red insulators were actually glazed twice: once with a traditional white glaze and then with a red glaze. Most likely to help preserve the color, the red glaze isn't as hot when it is applied, and it doesn't always adhere to the "primer" glaze. The insulator is in great condition but the glaze is weak on one side as seen in view 2. A great eye-catching piece for your porcelain collection!
