Lot 229
Price Realized: $121
Lot 229: CD 569.2 HEMAH {Russia} Color: Inky Cobalt Blue Description: Virtually mint. The big deal here is that the regular embossing is backwards, which occurs when you engrave the mold like you would normally write it. After pressing, the embossing ends up backwards on the insulator. This includes the large "HEMAH" as well as the 1967 date and the style number on the crown. However, the very small embossing "HEMAH" on the rear skirt is correct. It is possible an old mold with the small embossing was reused and engraved with the larger embossing, including the date and style number. A great embossing error for your collection!
