Lot 36: CD 158.2 BOSTON BOTTLE WORKS Color: Blue Description: Fracture across half the dome, significant chipping on one segmented thread. A little haze, but a light cleaning would make this sparkle. Dug from the Westford, MA town dump, just a few miles from where your auctioneers live, this is the less common embossing variant with BOSTON BOTTLE WORKS PATENTED OCT 15 72 embossed around the crown. Nicknamed the "Boston Barrel", this early style features the four segmented threads and the hexagonal dome. See lot 37 for a shade of green. Own a piece of New England history!
