Lot 172: CD 241 HEMINGRAY-23 Color: Red Amber Description: 3 chipped sharp drip points, otherwise very, very near mint. The style number 23 indicated that the insulator was designed to be used from 23 hundred to 66 hundred volts. For comparison purposes, the large CD 242 and extra-large CD 243 were designated style 66 (66 hundred to 88 hundred volts) and style 88 (88 hundred to 15,000 volts). CD 241's often have significant drip damage and have more of a brown coloration. This rich, red amber example is in quite good condition! Estimate: $100 - $150 Open: $10 Price Realized: $132 |
