Lot 166: CD 221 HEMINGRAY-68 Color: Green Tint w/ Aluminum Top Description: {Brass bushing} {Locke Hi-Top style; aluminum coated top} Four 1/4" fish eyes and some factory roughness around the crown. It's amazing that this insulator recently came out of service from the northern Indiana/Michigan area! These often had a thin aluminum coating on the upper wire ridge and ears, perhaps in an attempt to reduce RF interference. One can still see small areas where this coating was applied. This Locke Hi-Top style variant is very difficult to find, let alone one with the aluminum treated top.
