The Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company provided service to Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and later to West Virginia. The Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company was actually several smaller companies, the first of which was founded in 1883. Although aqua and blue examples are not particularly easy to find, it's very difficult to acquire a bright yellow green example such as this one.
