Lot 148
Price Realized: $231
Lot 148: CD 185 MINE INSULATOR Color: Aqua Description: Some flaking at the pinhole is common. This example has a 1/2" flake in that area, a shallow sliver on the rear skirt, and an open bubble on the base. Mine insulators were used not only in mines, but to dead-end regular lines as well. Both of these situations tend to lead to more damage than usual. Fortunately, this example is in very good condition. The distinctive aqua color and "stamped embossing" leave no doubt that this insulator was produced by the Hemingray Glass Company. (#0970) Estimate: $125 - $175 Open: $10 Price Realized: $231 |
