Lot 10: Brookfield "Salesman's Sample" {CD 162 style} Color: Light Green Aqua Description: 1" diameter and 1 1/4" tall. Very small 1/16" base flake on the rear. Boldly embossed on the skirt with "BROOKFIELD" on the front and "STANDARD" on the rear. Weaker crown embossing reads "WESTERN" on the front and "ELEC.CO." on the rear. These were produced by Brookfield. They are referred to as "salesman's samples" in the hobby but their real purpose is not known; perhaps they were promotional items. In any case, they are extremely difficult to come by! This is quite a small insulator. It is shown actual size next to a standard CD 145 Brookfield in the main view.
