Lot 89: CD 131.4 {Unembossed Hemingray} Color: Light Green Description: 3" area of base chipping. The surface is hazy and there are some fisheyes, perhaps indicating the insulator had been buried. The three-piece "button top" mold and the impression at the top of the pinhole indicate that this early threaded insulator is of Hemingray manufacture and most likely predates the December 19, 1871 patent.
