Lot 3: CD 158.1 CHESTER Color: Bright Blue Description: Factory annealing fissure in the skirt, a few little dings. Great condition! This rarely encountered insulator appears to have been made for the Chesters by the Boston Bottle Works. The firm of Charles T. & John N. Chester, in 1855, continued the business established by Mr. John W. Norton who, in the early days of the telegraph, was largely engaged in the manufacture and sale of telegraph instruments and supplies.
