Lot 175: U-395 "Mickey Mouse" Color: Chocolate Caramel Cream Description: Produced by Pittsburgh High Voltage in Derry, Pennsylvania, circa 1910-1920. You will be so mesmerized looking at the phenomenal coloring of this piece that you will overlook the thin 1/2" wide flake on the inside of the skirt. What an outstanding color for this piece, normally found in plain Chocolate Brown. The edges of the ears and flange are highlighted with a light cream coloring. The middle of the ears and upper pinhole area are a nice contrasting caramel color. The top of the pinhole is outlined with a line of dark chocolate, which also outlines the top of the flange and the bottom of the skirt. The tops of the ears are streaked with cream and caramel. To top it off, there is an abundance of raised cream "polka dots" sprinkled on the front of the insulator. To add a little extra character, the glaze was applied over a factory imperfection at the base of the skirt. OK, do you get the idea that this is one phenomenal insulator?
