Lot 15: CD 31 E.S.B.CO. Color: Deep Emerald Green Description: Great condition, with only a little minor scuffing on the top from use. The Electric Storage Battery Company, founded in 1888 by W.W. Gibbs, developed a storage battery called the “Chloride Accumulator” which was used for over 35 years by electric light and power companies. By 1908 glass battery rests were being used to support and insulate the racks of batteries.
