Lot 36: CD 121 C.D.& P.TEL.CO. Color: Deep Lime Green Description: A 1" base bruise on the rear and a potstone bruise near the mold line. 1/8" flake on the rear upper wire ridge. A bit of a crude piece with some snow and bubbles to add extra character. The Central District & Printing Telegraph Company was started to bring telegraph service to Pittsburgh, PA. The "printing telegraph" was a device to allow the transmission of messages through a keyboard without requiring a trained telegrapher using Morse code.
